Our marketing material is our bag. This has all our business and product information on both sides so there is no need for brochures or business cards. We never offer plastic bags.
We use our soap scraps to make up a slurry which gets poured into the washing machine to wash our clothes and as the soap is completely bio degradable, this can go straight out and onto the lawn, garden or into a grey water tank. It is nice that our clothes can smell different with every wash depending on the soap leftovers used.
All water used in the making of Scrumpy Soap is pure rain water. No chlorine, fluoride or aluminium that you might find in unfiltered tap water, is in our soaps.
Most of the herbs used are grown here in our own garden using "no spray". The fruits, olive oils and honey are often able to be sourced locally and we use solar power in the Soapery. (See facebook for updated photos on how we built our Scrumpy Soapery using reclaimed materials.)
Scrumpy Soap Co is always endevouring to be a "Zero Waste" business and hopes to be a leader in environmentally sustainable work practices.
Reusing is better than recycling.
