Please note: All orders need to be placed by Friday the 12th of December, close of business 6pm. Well a BIG THANK YOU and I am completely overwhelmed with the support I have received through out the year. Alas I am but one soap maker and I have finally reached my limit on how many soaps I can provide with so many Christmas orders. I will be closing the website as of Friday the 12th of December at 6pm and reopening on Monday the 29th of December. All orders that are placed, by oversight, during this time will be refunded immediately. I am proud to say I have filled every order for every soap through out the year and do not wish to disappoint people. This has always been a business that encompasses my values, a business where I do not wish to be fuelled by greed, or to be so busy I can not tend to my garden, make my lunch or not enjoy each day and what I do.......I have to stay true to my core beliefs and values. Many thanks again for your support and understanding. Scrumpy Soap Co will still be at the Manjimup Cherry Festival on Saturaday the 13th, at the Donnybrook Markets on Sat the 20th and Boyanup Farmers Market on Sunday the 21st. Wishing you all a safe and happy festive season. Anita xx

I sometimes get asked for a Strawberry smelling soap or a coconut aromatic essential oil soap. I politely let people know the difference between essential oil, 100% natural, and a synthetic petroleum based fragrance. There is no Strawberry essential oil or coconut essential oil, just synthetic fragrance. Some "so called" essential oils that do not exist:
Strawberry Cranberry Blueberry Raspberry Pineapple Coconut Cucumber Pomegranate Watermelon Cantaloupe Honeydew (and any other type of melon) Fig Lychee (some florals also fit into this category such as Lily of the Valley and Lilac). There is no such thing as the above "essential oils" so do not be misled by products claiming to be all natural. An interesting article follows. http://www.byvalenti.com/blog/ingredients-abc/strawberry-essential-oil-and-its-shocking-greenwashing-truth/ Scrumpy Soap Co's environmental and sustainable philosophy and values. Scrumpy Soap Co considers every product we make or sell fits with our eco friendly philosophy and core values. “Caring for you and your environment by only providing products that are of great quality but do not cost the earth. All of our products will meet at least two of our six criteria. Many will meet all six. Sustainable, locally hand made, organic, bio degradable, recycled, reduced impact on our earth. No palm oil is used ever” All our soap is 100% natural and bio degradable with no palm oil. We are working toward being a zero waste business, we collect rain water, utilize solar power, we offer 50c refunds on the return of all our glass bottles and jars. All our orders are sent utilizing recycled paper etc.. as wrapping. (a sticker is placed on the post bag stating this) Our bags are lined with cornstarch windows and are made from recycled paper and completely compostable, all our labels are made locally, olive oil is sourced locally, all gift bags are made by me from recycled fabrics, no business cards or plastic are used ever, all washing of pots and utensils, used in the making of products, are cleaned with the water going straight back onto the property, herbs are grown in the garden, we do not ship overseas (no soap miles) all stall fixtures etc have been made from recycled jarrah and by us. We waste nothing and wash all our clothes with soap scraps as well as on sell large bags to customers, our gift boxes are made from post consumer waste and in Australia, all scrap cardboard is composted. All oil containers are returned to the growers or utilized by people who want them for water wells. There is not one article on our stall that does not fit our criteria. We continue to seek more environmentally suitable products that can replace unsustainable, wasteful and environmentally hazardous ones. I already make many items from recycled materials and I love when people grab hold of some of those ideas and go off and see what they can do for themselves. I hope we inspire people to want to try something new and make small changes to benefit the health of our planet. Scrumpy Soap Co is not driven by profit alone. I choose not to charge artisan prices for my products because I believe a good product should not be only for those on above average incomes. We do not believe that the bottom line is all that makes a business successful. Man made climate change is real, pollution is a problem and destruction of world eco systems is happening now at an alarming rate and people want things to change swiftly. I hope that all business can see the writing on the wall and start considering their actions. By reducing waste, sourcing ethically or locally, and drawing a line on how much profit one needs so that it doesn’t cost the earth will allow everyone to benefit. Hi, I don't normally send in feedback, but I ordered a bunch of your soaps at the beginning of the year to try, and now after 6 months just wanted to say Thank You for the great products. I've been trying to go a little more natural and gentler on my skin, and it really helped that you're soaps were affordable for a student on a budget like me. Mostly using the soaps now for handwashing, and I've really noticed a difference with the skin on my hands, no more dry skin problems or flaking like I used to have with some other handwashes. So, keeping this short, thank you! Really enjoying your products Best, Ash (NSW) For those who have recently joined us, thank you. At Scrumpy Soap Co we don't just make soap, we are striving to live a life that is not fuelled by greed, is considerate to our planet,is honest, looks to reducing our carbon footprint, is full of vitality and is innovative. Our products and business are built around this. Solar power is used in our soap studio that has been made from recycled materials and built by us. Rain water is collected in our own tanks, herbs, flowers and veges grown by our selves and spray free, all waste materials are composted, we use recycled packaging and fabric for all gifts, all scrap soap is used all sold for washing clothes and the water can then go straight onto the garden, refunds on all our glass only packaging is offered. No plastic is used ever. So if you live overseas we will not send you soap because I would encourage someone to become your local soap maker. If you are a big business and want to distribute our soap in volume....we aren't the ones to do it as we just rely on enough business to live a balanced and healthy life. We are not looking to be a huge concern. Our prices are kept very reasonable for large soap bars because we don't believe that good quality, sustainable and 100% natural soap should be only for those with a better than average income. We do not compromise quality ever, offer truth in labelling and gather as many ingredients as possible from our local area. We love our local markets, enjoy bartering, the interaction with others and the sharing of ideas. We have increased our range of items, hand selected and trialled by us, to continue to offer products that are sustainable, organic, locally made, bio degradable or have a lesser impact on the earth. Thank you for your continued support, Anita Many people have made the switch to our hand made, 100% natural and palm oil free soaps but we have also been selected by CHOICE (Australias leading consumer advocacy group for over 50 years.) to provide soaps, boxed as invitations, to go out across Australia for this years 2013 awards. "Hi Anita I received today a box with our soap. I just wanted to say a really big thank you, it smells amazing! and the product has come up fantastic. Thank you for all your help.
