The bristles are made from a BPA FREE polymer, resistant to microbial growth during normal use and will ensure safety and durability. Speaking to the owner of this Australian company, the polymer is also bio degradable (nylon 4) It is the best alternative to plastic and nylon toothbrushes I have found to date. Not to mention that it is designed by an Australian dentist.
