Frankincense was one of the consecrated incense described in the Hebrew Bible and used in ceremonies. Frankincense resin is edible and the essential oil is produced by steam distillation. The tree is NOT destroyed in the process of gathering the sap like substance. Frankincense was used for stimulating and elevating the mind. Bergamot has a delicious citrus aroma.
